Where are the Safety Rules for Students?
Safety Rules are issued to students at the start of each year.
They are also posted in each laboratory.
SCIENCE SAFETY RULES
The science laboratory is an enjoyable, exciting place to work or learn. It must also be a safe place. I agree to conduct myself well while in the lab. I agree to follow my teacher's instructions at all times and follow the safety rules listed below:
- I will always get my teacher's permission before beginning a lab activity.
- I will never run, push, or play in the lab.
- I will never eat or drink anything in the lab.
- I will always use care when working with unknown substances.
This means:
* I will never touch anything without the teacher's permission.
* I will never smell any substance without my teacher's permission.
* I will never taste any substance without my teacher's permission.
- I will always use care when I handle lab equipment.
This means:

* I will report any glass breakage to the teacher.
* I will learn the location and proper use of the safety equipment in the lab.
- I will always report any accident to my teacher immediately.
