To assess  progress and set new targets for students we need to focus on:

• Objective led lessons
• Oral feedback
• Written feedback
• Peer and self-assessment

These processes are quite different from summative assessment porcedures. They assist in the development of knowledge and understanding during the teaching: when it is needed!
