Where are changes in assessment for 2006/7

Changes to Year 7, 8 and 9 Assessment

Year 7 and 8

Summative

  • Year 7 to do Goal progress test in first few weeks
  • Year 7 and 8 to have 2 written tests per year
  • One just before Feb half term
  • One towards end of year
  • Feb half  term based on test base
  • Summer test to be full or just 1 SAT paper, can then be analysed using PAT and pupils can see what level get if sat SAT then.

Formative

  • Assessment through year to based on AFL
  • Badger tasks and levelled SC1 tasks
  • To be quality marked with quality mark sheet to be stuck in pupils book with level and specific targets for improvement
  • At least 1 per half term
  • If want end of unit assessment teachers to use goal
  • Pupils get instant feedback and analysis, all stored on computer, can be done as homework as all on line

 

Year 9

Summative

  • Progress test to be done just before October half term based on test base
  • Mock to be done in January

Formative

  • Assessment through year to based on AFL

  • To be quality marked with quality mark sheet to be stuck in pupils book with level and specific targets for improvement
  • At least 1 per half term

All marks for all year groups to be stored on database 1 sub level per half term.
