Changes to Year 7, 8 and 9 Assessment
Year 7 and 8
Summative
- Year 7 to do Goal progress test in first few weeks
- Year 7 and 8 to have 2 written tests per year
- One just before Feb half term
- One towards end of year
- Feb half term based on test base
- Summer test to be full or just 1 SAT paper, can then be analysed using PAT and pupils can see what level get if sat SAT then.
Formative
- Assessment through year to based on AFL
- Badger tasks and levelled SC1 tasks
- To be quality marked with quality mark sheet to be stuck in pupils book with level and specific targets for improvement
- At least 1 per half term
- If want end of unit assessment teachers to use goal
- Pupils get instant feedback and analysis, all stored on computer, can be done as homework as all on line
Year 9
Summative
- Progress test to be done just before October half term based on test base
- Mock to be done in January
Formative
- Assessment through year to based on AFL
