| How is data from assessments used? | |
|
Data is obtained from end-of-unit assesments. These are used in conjunction with the FFT data,
1. Data from the previous year is passed on to the next teacher to allow the teacher to get an idea of past pupil performance.
2. Data we have on Year 9 pupils is used to decide tiers of entry for the SATs.
3. Data is also used to divide the pupils in to revision classes for targeted revision four weeks before the SATs.
4. End of Year 8 results are analysed and from these the intervention group for Year 9 (5 borderline) is identified.
5. In 2005/2006 the data was used to identify four target groups; level 4 and below, intervention, underachieving and extension pupils.
6. The data from the end of Year 7 is used to put pupils into levelled groups for Year 8.
7. Gifted and talented pupils are identified using this data.
8. Data is used for reporting to parents and putting into Bromcom.
(More use of data from FORMATIVE assessments will be used in 2006/7) |
