Do individuals or groups of pupils reveal negative attitudes or poor behaviour? What action has been taken to remedy this?

 

Some signs. Depends on the level of relationships with the teacher. Departmental focus is on positive feedback and rewards rather than ‘punishment’ . Short-term/instant rewards , including postcards home improve behaviour. Look closely at schemes of work and activities for individuals/groups. Match with their learning strengths, not teacher preferences. The curriculum changes (initiated by the needs of pupils) have shown a considerable increase interest and enthusiasm, and attainment has improved.
