As of  August 2006  the final approval of the specifications is still being considered

" The AQA specification received formal QCA accreditation on 15 August and wording to this effect has been prepared for publication on the website.
 
Specimen assessment materials are also being prepared for publication on the website and the final, approved, specification will be posted shortly.
 
Production of the Teachers’ Guide is in progress and can be completed now that confirmation of accreditation has been received.
 
We do apologise for the delays in making these documents available and do understand your frustration on this issue. AQA met the deadlines for submission of these materials and the information provided by subject staff was offered as an explanation of the delay not an excuse for it. We consider our Entry Level specifications as being of equal status to all our other specifications and endeavour to produce materials that are fit for purpose and of the highest possible standards."
