What summative testing is used?

Summative testing is achieved by assessed by end-of-topic tests. The Year 9 and some of the Year 7 and 8 topic tests were modified in 2004/2005 so that our assessment is more in line with current SATs (more SC1 longer style questions). This allows students to be tracked more accurately. Levels are displayed for each QCA unit in classrooms in pupil speak so that pupils are aware of what level they are at and how to reach the next level.
